This week in sports, we have seen all-stars on the move and rumors of big moves to come. LeBron James made his move out west to the Los Angles Lakers. James officially signed his four-year pact with the Lakers worth $154 million this week. The Lakers have also added other role players like Lance Stephenson at LeBron’s behest to help the team dramatically improve on their 35-47 record from last season. How many more players can LeBron recruit to Los Angeles? We have the rest of the summer to find out the answer to that question.

In Major League Baseball, the Baltimore Orioles are having a historically bad season hovering around 40 games under .500. As a result, a team built to compete this year is negotiating potential deals on all of its star veteran players. The superstar that will get them the most return in a trade is Manny Machado. The all-world shortstop is having another superb year for the Orioles. He is a free agent this offseason, and the Orioles seem to be better off trading him for assets that can help in the future and make Machado an offer this offseason to come back rather than risk losing him to draft picks.

In the NHL, there are players rumored to be on the move during this long off-season. Erik Karlsson, all-world defense man for the Ottawa Senators, still has not been traded but discussions are ongoing. If he does not sign an extension he will be a free agent at the end of the upcoming season. In addition, look for Montreal Canadiens’ forward Max Pacioretty to be traded soon. According to multiple reports, the captain of the Canadiens will not be offered an extension beyond this season and could be moved soon.
