Adam West had a great impact on the history of American classics. William West Anderson by birth, Adam West now has a name no one will forget, “Holy alter ego Batman”. West elevated to fame in 1996 as the star of ABC’s Batman. Three seasons and 120 episodes later, West had cemented his place in the historical legend of Batman. Unfortunately, we have lost this Super TV star to Leukemia at the age of 88 years old.
From portraying Batman in the 1960’s TV series to playing a delusional mayor of Quahog in Family Guy, Adam West has been a delightful part of our entertainment lives for more than 50 years. The absence of his voice in the industry will leave a hole as he has provided his unique sound for over 20 TV show’s, shows including “Fantasy Island,” “Gunsmoke,” “Perry Mason,” “The Detectives,” and many more.
Let us remember him for the man he always was and the voice that will always be his. R.I.P. ~Adam West
